Yuma Strong,
Over the past several months, our staff members, students, and families have risen to meet this unprecedented challenge and although learning and support services have taken place in-person, remotely, and virtually you and your family might need additional supports. Here are several resources, if you need them.
-
Centennial Mental Health has launched a Community Support Line for ALL individuals. This support line will provide non-emergent support for those who are needing emotional support and/or resources during these difficult times. Individuals can call (970) 848-5412 and a support team member will be available to direct your call.
-
Go online to Safe2Tell.org or call (877) 542-7233 to anonymously report anything that concerns or threatens you, your friends, your family, or your community. Safe2Tell is open 24/7, 365 days a year to take your report. A Spanish version of this information is available here.
-
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 1-800-273-8255.
-
Contact the Rural Community Resource Center at (970) 848-3867 for community supports such as food assistance.
-
COVID-19 resources for families can be found here.
-
As always, in the event of an emergency, call 911.
Please continue to visit the Yuma School District website at https://www.yumaschools.org/district or check in with each school’s FaceBook page to stay informed and get current information about your child’s school. Information about the upcoming school events (such as schedules, assessments, classroom assignments, additional COVID-19 information, etc.) will be shared with families when that information has been determined.
We continue to be focused on the well-being of our students, our families, and our staff. It’s amazing to see how we have all come together during this crisis to look out for and support one another. Moving forward as a community is most important in light of this pandemic and we will get through this together. We are proud to be Yuma Indians and to live and serve in this community. #YumaStrong #RollTribe
Please contact us at your earliest convenience if you have questions or concerns.
