Due to anticipated hazardous weather conditions, all schools, including the district office will be closed and all activities cancelled for Tuesday, November 26, 2019. School will resume as scheduled Monday, December 2, 2019.

YSD-1 Transportation will be using storm routes for both morning and 11:30 AM dismissal on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.
As most of you are likely aware, many Denver area schools (as well as other in the foothills and mountain areas) have closed school for today (Wednesday, April 17) in light of the credible threat issued by the FBI of an individual reportedly infatuated with the Columbine tragedy. We have been in contact with our local law enforcement, as well as other school administrators in the area. While we are not in the direct area of the threat we are taking extra precautions with increased staff awareness, as well as an increased law enforcement presence in and around the school.
Due to the forecast blizzard conditions all activities for the Yuma School District will be cancelled and all schools will be closed, including the District Office, Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Due to the anticipated storm and blizzard warning, we will dismiss today Wednesday March 13, at 11:30 am. Students will be served lunch prior to dismissal. Buses will run regular routes beginning at 11:30 am. All afternoon activities will be cancelled. Parents may choose to pick their students up early as may be necessary for their own needs. Thank you.
We are saddened by the sudden passing of our student Keli Thinnes. Our hearts and deepest condolences go out to her family during this difficult time. We would like to announce a calendar change to allow staff and students to attend services.
Monday, March 4, 2019, will be a NO SCHOOL for students.
Students WILL ATTEND school Friday, April 5, 2019.
MES will keep scheduled parent/teacher conferences on Monday, March 4th, however, the High School parent/teacher conferences will be moved to Monday, March 11th.
