FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: AUGUST 9, 2023 
SCHEDULED EMERGENCY RESPONSE and REUNIFICATION TRAINING EXERCISE

On Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Yuma District School-1 in partnership with area first responders will conduct an EMERGENCY RESPONSE and REUNIFICATION TRAINING EXERCISE at Yuma Middle School. During this event, 6th Avenue from Elm to Gum Street will be closed. All district offices and schools will be closed during this time. 

This exercise will also include the following responding agencies:  Yuma District Hospital, City of Yuma EMS, Yuma Volunteer Fire Department, City of Wray EMS, Eckley Volunteer Fire Department, Otis Volunteer Fire Department, Yuma County Office of Emergency Management, and the City of Yuma, Colorado.

EJERCICIO PROGRAMADO de ENTRENAMIENTO DE RESPUESTA de EMERGENCIA Y REUNIFICACIÓN

El miércoles 9 de agosto de 2023 de 8:00 a. m. a 1:00 p. m., el Distrito Escolar de Yuma-1 en asociación con los socorristas del área llevarán a cabo un EJERCICIO de ENTRENAMIENTO de RESPUESTA de EMERGENCIA y REUNIFICACIÓN en Yuma Middle School. Durante este evento, la sexta avenida desde Elm hasta la calle Gum estará cerrada. Todas las oficinas del distrito y las escuelas estarán cerradas durante este tiempo.

Este ejercicio también incluirá las siguientes agencias de respuesta: Hospital del Distrito de Yuma, Servicios Médicos de Emergencia de la Ciudad de Yuma, Departamento de Bomberos Voluntarios de Yuma, Servicios Médicos de Emergencia de la Ciudad de Wray, Departamento de Bomberos Voluntarios de Eckley, Departamento de Bomberos Voluntarios de Otis, Oficina de Gestión de Emergencias del Condado de Yuma, y la Ciudad de Yuma, Colorado.
